SAN LUIS POTOSÍ, Mexico.- The Foundation for Human Rights in Cuba, congressmen and immigration lawyers have warned that a hundred Cuban repressors have emigrated to the United States, according to a report table analysis held this Tuesday, August 27.
Experts say at least 115 people who have monitored, harassed and arrested regime opponents live in the United States.
Tony Costa, director of the Foundation for Human Rights in Cuba, said that a permanent database contains 1,015 repressorsa list that can be used to identify and prevent these individuals from entering the United States.
“Our way of helping those inside Cuba is by identifying those people who are specifically dedicated to repressing the opposition inside Cuba. And what we do is we identify them, we put them on a permanent website, which does not expire, so that in this way we can try to take the pressure off those inside Cuba,” they said.
In this way, they pointed out, it would be possible to prevent Castro officials from arriving in the United States and, in case they “sneak in,” have tools to analyze their case.
“That is the purpose and one of the projects of the Foundation for Human Rights in Cuba. We have identified more than 1,000 repressors inside Cuba who are on the website and we have identified more than 100 who have arrived here and entered the United States.”
According to them, in February 2023, when they offered the first conference, they had identified 20. “Since then to date, the Cuban repressors have continued to arrive, and at the time, we did the complete count, today we have 115 Cuban repressors living in the United States, and 1,015 in total.”
According to Rolando Cartaya and Luis Domínguez, two of the researchers who keep the list of repressors, this represents 11.33% of the total number of emigrants, “and that is a very significant figure.”

Journalist Roberto Quiñones, imprisoned by the Cuban government for trying to cover the trial of a religious couple, revealed that the judge who denied his appeal currently resides in the United States.
The case of former judge Melody González Pedraza, who was responsible for sentencing four young people to prison for protesting against the government and was an accomplice to other arbitrary acts of the Cuban dictatorship, also came to light.
Melody González Pedraza arrived at Tampa International Airport, in Floridaas a beneficiary of the program of words humanitarian launched by the Biden Administration. However, his entry into the country was denied by immigration authorities due to his alleged repressive history in Cuba.
