The Federation of Entrepreneurs of Tarija (FEPT) will discuss the measures needed to create a sectoral agenda to address the challenges and opportunities of the economic crisis.
It will be at a meeting on September 5th, organized by that institution.
“We are going to bring together businessmen and entrepreneurs to analyze in depth the economic problems and decision making “in order to get out of this critical situation,” said FEPT President René Segovia at the launch of the event.
According to the businessman, it is urgent to create a common agenda that allows the sector to face the challenges and take advantage of the opportunities for the future that require greater effort and intervention.
The president of the Departmental Chamber of Construction (Cadeco), Rolando Surriable, He said that in this meeting three or four axes must be defined that will allow the department of Tarija to emerge from the current crisis.
In his opinion, the recommendations that emerge must aim to change the economic model dependent on natural gas to entrepreneurship, especially in tourism and agribusiness.
The former president of the Tarija Hotel Chamber, Daniel Beccar, said that the business meeting is the ideal setting to define solutions and challenges for the sector.
“We cannot sit back and wait for a solution to come from heaven, much less from the State. This event shows that private initiative is the driving force of the economy here and everywhere in the world,” said Beccar.
