The U12 National Baseball Pre-Selection that will play the Pre-World Cup of the category in Panama City from October 19, continues its training strongly on its second day of activity at the Rod Cardew stadium.
José Murillo, manager of the national U12 team, said that more than 80% of the players had turned up on the first day and that by Tuesday almost the entire squad was already training.
“We are working very hard, we have come to get in shape quickly, on Wednesday we will have an inter-squad preparation game and at the weekend we will play matches with other teams,” said Murillo.
A total of 12 teams will be competing in Panama to win three spots for the World Cup, to be played in Tainan, Taiwan next year.
Working with Murillo are coaches Luis Ramos, on the pitching side, Rodrigo Merón and Ángel Chávez on defense, Kenny Serracín and Maurice Loupadier.
Yesterday, Monday, work was done in the batting cage due to the bad rainy weather and this Tuesday, complete defense and batting work was done, while Luis Ramos worked with his pitchers in the bullpen area.
