Citizen Berman Andrés Rivera Pichardo, 34 years old, suffered a gunshot wound to his chest after he tried to resist the robbery perpetrated by two subjects who arrived at his Mart Cell store, located in the Costa Rica neighborhood, Managua.
The security cameras at Rivera Pichardo’s business recorded the entire robbery chronologically. In the first part of the video, which has gone viral on social media, the first subject, dressed in black and carrying a box, can be seen entering the cell phone sales business alone and after a few minutes, posing as a customer, he took out a firearm that he was carrying in the box.

Initially, the subject pointed his gun at a woman who was in the store with Rivera Pichardo, but then proceeded to take cell phones that were on the counters.
He also forced Rivera Pichardo to hand over the gold chains he was wearing and it was at this point, according to reports from official media, that he tried to resist and a second criminal entered on a motorcycle and shot him in the chest.

The robbery occurred on Saturday, August 24, at 12:50 p.m., according to the details of the video that was shared on social media.

Rivera Pichardo, according to the images, was injured and lying on the floor of his store, while the two subjects who robbed his premises fled on board a black motorcycle, which even blocked traffic for a few moments in the area of the Colonial traffic lights 2 blocks north.
The owner of the business was taken to the Manolo Morales Hospital in Managua by neighbors who helped him after seeing the armed criminals leave the premises. Unofficially, it was learned that Rivera Pichardo required surgery to remove the bullet that was lodged in his chest.
