Executive Branch will allocate more than S/150 million to strengthen flagrancy units

The Executive Branch will allocate more than 150 million soles to strengthening the flagrancy system, an initiative promoted by the Judiciary to counteract citizen insecurity.

This was reported by the President of the Council of Ministers, Gustavo Adrianzenwho noted that the total budget to support the system will be 150 million 944 thousand 323 soles.

Of this amount, more than 73 million will be given to the Judiciary, more than 10 million to the Ministry of Justice, 35 million to the Public Prosecutor’s Office and another 31 million to the Ministry of the Interior.

“The President of the Republic’s commitment to the fight against crime is permanent and we do so by making the necessary resources available,” said the head of the cabinet.

It was during the inauguration of the Third National Congress on Flagrancy: Criminality in Peru. Challenges and challenges of the Flagrancy Units 2024″, which will take place until this Thursday 29th in the auditorium of the University of Lima.

The head of the Judiciary, Javier Arevalofor his part, welcomed the announcement and pointed out that the implementation of new flagrancy units must be a State policy that transcends the governments in power.

“This model must be a state policy and must be supported. The Prime Minister said that there will be more resources and there always has to be because the issue of crime is constant in our country,” he stressed.

At another time, the President of the Council of Ministers also mentioned that the system of domain extinction will receive 12 million soles to fight against crime.

“The ill-gotten money is expressed in luxurious residences that will be seized immediately and will be transferred to the State,” he added.
