The Ombudsman, Walter Gutierrezasked the president peter castle and the prime minister, Hannibal Torresto recompose the Cabinet after questioning its composition for lack of parity and for the presence of questioned ministers such as Hernan Condori in the Health sector.
In an official letter sent this Saturday, February 19, Gutiérrez assures that in the last six months and repeatedly, ministers have been appointed who have not respected the “minimum suitability standards and the constitutional framework”.
The document focuses mainly on the Minister of Health, Hernán Condori, who was described as the most worrying case because he is being investigated by the Public Ministry for corruption crimes during his tenure in the Chanchamayo Health Network, and for having a report of Comptroller who holds him responsible for irregularities in his management of the Regional Directorate of Health of Junín.

“His professional experience for the position has been questioned by the Medical College of Peru itself, medical schools and other institutions linked to health care”asserted the Ombudsman.
Walter Gutiérrez highlighted the lack of parity in the Cabinet for having only 3 among its 19 ministers, and to this he added that some of them have complaints of violence against women.
“Based on the above, we request your office and the President of the Council of Ministers to recompose the Ministerial Cabinet, guaranteeing compliance with the aforementioned constitutional principles”concludes the text.
