Francisco Ameliach reveals contradictions in Delpino’s statement

The deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Francisco Ameliach, pointed out that the statement issued by the rector Juan Carlos Delpino, has two textual keys and that the burden of proof falls on whoever announces fraud.

“The two textual keys of Delpino’s statement: 1. I made the decision not to go to the totaling room. 2. I lack the evidence to support the announced results.” The question: Why did he make the decision to have no evidence at all? The theory: The burden of proof falls on whoever announces fraud,” Ameliach said on social media.

In a statement, Delpino said that he was not in the counting room by his own decision and that he lacks evidence of the alleged fraud claimed by the opposition regarding the election results that the National Electoral Council (CNE) announced on the night of July 28.

“In the absence of an effective solution to the alleged hacking, I made the decision not to go to the totaling room and not attend the announcement of the first bulletin. As rector, by not going to the totaling room I lack the evidence to support the announced results,” Delpino said.

In reference to this, the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, denounced that the rector Juan Carlos Delpino left his post on July 28 and assured that “he was part of the plan to ignore the results of the presidential elections.”

He also stated that Delpino was not present at the National Electoral Council for the issuance of the results of the July 28 elections. In this regard, he said that the National Assembly (AN) will carry out legal proceedings against the former head of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Juan Carlos Delpino, after he abandoned his post and disappeared on July 28.
