A mother died in a traffic accident that occurred at kilometer 990 of the Panamericana Norte, on the highway Piura-Chiclayo. The fatal accident happened early yesterday morning.

Yesbi Mirella Zapata Chávez (28 years old) died after being run over by a heavy vehicle. According to reports, the victim was on a motorcycle waiting for her partner who had parked on the side of the road to urinate. It was at that moment that the incident occurred.
The traffic accident occurred at around 3:20 a.m. on Sunday. Upon noticing the incident, her partner, Edixon Manuel Juárez Zeta, 23, ran to help the woman who was on the side of the road, but was unable to do anything, as she died on the spot. Both were traveling on the motorcycle with license plate 7280-HP.
The victim’s husband reported that the driver of the vehicle with license plate A3X-492, Carlos David Zárate Saavedra (27 years old), had unexpectedly crashed into the smaller vehicle, running over the woman.
Zárate Saavedra was detained at the La Legua police station for the corresponding investigations.
The young woman, who leaves behind a minor daughter, was returning home to the hamlet of La Legua, in the district of Catacaos. Her death has shocked the population, which has not yet come to terms with her sudden departure.
Through social media, her partner Edixon Juárez dedicated emotional words to Yesbi Mirella, whom he affectionately called “big-eared.”
“My Yesbi, because it was only you, it was the two of us morchi. You leave me feeling very bad my love, just a second takes you away from me, we have been through so many things. Very soon we will be together, love. In the next life we will see each other, my big ears,” wrote Edixon on his Facebook account.
The police and the representative of the Public Prosecutor’s Office arrived at the scene to authorize the removal of the body and its interment in the Piura morgue.
