Junín: Three missing people were rescued from the Huaytapallana snow-capped mountain

Three tourists were lost in the Huaytapallana snow-capped mountain in the Junín region on Sunday, August 25. The Emergency Squad and the Firefighters undertook a 5-kilometer walk to find them. The rescue lasted approximately an hour and a half.

The alert was given at approximately 10:00 on August 25, police personnel and firefighters went to the place after a long walk through the fog, around 1:30 in the morning they were able to see three missing people, who identified themselves as Raúl Enriquez Berrios Mescua (42), Martina Neyra López (38) and Cinthia Floriza Sullca Santiago (30).

The rescue lasted until 3:00 in the morning, in the snowy summit area, some of the tourists suffered from illness due to the cold, so they were evaluated and taken to safety.
