Diosdado Cabello to Delpino: You have abandoned your position and you will be seen as a traitor to the country

Diosdado Cabello announced a mobilization for this Wednesday, July 28, to celebrate the first month of victory and called on the opposition to join this march.

The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, referred to the head of the National Electoral Council (CNE) Juan Carlos Delpino as “a traitor to the country,” after he appeared in the media stating that there is not enough evidence to say that Nicolás Maduro won the presidential elections on July 28.

“You will be rejected, Delpino, by your own colleagues who led you to this. Demand that Rafael Ramírez pay you in full; demand that he pay you, because within three months or before you will go down in history as a traitor to the country, you abandoned the position for which you swore before the National Assembly,” Cabello said at the PSUV press conference on August 26.

Likewise, Diosdado Cabello assured that the rector Delpino is out of the country and indicated that he left for Colombia, where, according to his statements, “he was received by a former director of Pacific Rubiales”; a Canadian exploration and production company in the heavy crude oil and natural gas business.

According to the PSUV representative, after this, the rector Juan Carlos Delpino met with the head of the United States mission for Venezuela, Francisco Palmieri, in a house that was supposedly assigned to the rector of the CNE by the Embassy of this country, “to stir up a new mess about Venezuela.”

According to Diosdado Cabello, Delpino is charging money to the US as a “sham agent” because he indicated that this rector was not present at the results of the July 28 election.

Rector Juan Carlos Delpino had been absent from public life since the day of the presidential elections. He was not present at the presentation of the election results or at the accreditation of Nicolás Maduro as the winner.
