Maduro thanks ALBA-TCP for support against criminal imperialist attack

This Monday, at the start of the XI Extraordinary Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) at the Miraflores Palace in Caracas, President Nicolás Maduro thanked the member countries of the regional bloc for their invitation and highlighted the timeliness of starting this week with this meeting in the midst of the criminal imperialist onslaught against Venezuela.

“I am very grateful for this summit. I send you warm greetings from Bolivarian Caracas, a rebel against the attacks of the empire. Alba is the vital nucleus of the great homeland, of independence,” and more so “at a time when Venezuela is resisting yet another imperialist attack,” said the head of state, who described this new attack as fascist and carried out by criminals.

He also warned that there is a powerful resurgence of fascism in Latin America.
