The Blooming U-15 concluded on Sunday a fruitful tour of the United Stateswhere they played a total of six matches. The tour, organized thanks to the efforts of Gabriel ‘Nano’ Eguezhad as its main objective to give young footballers the opportunity to face top-level rivals and gain experience and exposure to international competition.
“We must work in the lower divisions. I have focused on supporting the kids; it is the only way to grow and for Bolivian football to progress. This international contact is essential for the development of the players,” said Eguez, who is a fervent fan of the club.
Beyond the sporting result, The tour is considered a resounding success, since it was possible to establish links with MLS clubs, such as the Inter Miami and Orlando City, who will be the rivals of a new tour scheduled for 2025. This alliance will allow Blooming’s U-15 to continue its development and growth at an international level.
“The idea of these matches was to create international exposure and for the kids to compete at a high level. We hope to repeat the experience next year,” said Omar Mendieta, coordinator of the club’s minor divisions.
After the last match, played in three 35-minute periodsBlooming’s players and coaching staff had the opportunity to share and interact with their peers from Inter Miami. In addition, the coach of the American club’s minor leagues, Angel Guillermo Hoyos, who managed Oriente Petrolero last year, met with the Celeste squad to exchange experiences and knowledge.
As a token of appreciation for the efforts made by ‘Nano’ Eguez, the Blooming U-15 players gave him a autographed jersey of the club by the entire squad. It should be noted that for the next tour, scheduled for 2025, not only the U-15 will participate, but also the U-17 of the academy. There is even the possibility of invite Oriente Petrolero so that their younger categories can also be part of this international experience.
