More than 13,509 health professionals registered to participate in the evaluation for the Rural and Marginal Urban Health Service (Serums) 2024 – II, a figure higher than that recorded in previous processes, according to the Ministry of Health (Minsa).
According to the sector, this shows that the registration fee for the exam, the cost of travel to the capital to take the test and other aspects were barriers to more applicants being able to participate in previous years.
As part of the transparency process that will take place from the beginning to the end of the evaluation, the closing of registrations was verified and certified by an accredited notary at the end of August 24 (closing of registrations).
This Sunday, September 1, the exam will be conducted by the Minsa and it will be held nationwide free of charge and with complete transparency because it includes the participation of professional associations, scientific societies and support within the framework of their functions from the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic, the Ombudsman, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, and members of Congress of the Republic.
The registered professionals belong to the careers of Nursing, dentistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, medicine, obstetrics and nutrition; in addition to being professionals from all public and private universities in the country, as well as from foreign universities recognized by Sunedu.
According to the “Evaluation Implementation Plan for Serums 2024-II”, approved by Ministerial Resolution 544-2024/MINSA, the five thematic blocks are: public health, comprehensive health care, ethics and interculturality, research and management of health services.
It was reported that the evaluation was prepared by a group of experts for each professional career that come from the Ministry of Health, universities, professional associations, among other health institutions.
