Inter and Ferroviária draw 1-1 in the quarterfinals of the Brazilian Women's Championship

Internacional and Ferroviária drew 1-1 on Sunday morning (25) at the Centenário stadium in Caxias do Sul, in a match valid for the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Série A1 of the Brazilian Women’s Football Championship. After a first half without the ball in the net, in the 16th minute of the second half Tamara fouled Micaelly inside the area. Duda Santos perfectly took the penalty to open the scoring for the Guerreira Grenás. At a disadvantage, the home team began to launch an attack. And the equalizer came in the 36th minute, also with a penalty kick, by Priscila.

At 48 minutes, Priscila scored again, but this time with the ball in motion. However, the play was disallowed by the referee, which meant that the final result was a 1-1 draw.

Palmeiras victory

In the other quarter-final clash of the Brazilian Women’s Championship played this Sunday, Palmeiras beat Cruzeiro 2-1 in a match played at Arena Independência. Juliete and Amanda Gutierres scored for the visitors, while Vitória Calhau scored for the Cabulosas.

Draw in the first leg

In the first match of the quarter-finals, played on the night of last Saturday (24), Bragantino and Corinthians could only draw 1-1 at the Nabi Abi Chedid stadium.
