Cuarto Poder had exclusive access to audios involving the current Minister of the Interior, Juan Jose Santivañezin compromising conversations with PNP captain Junior Izquierdo, known as “Culebra.”
In the conversations, statements by Santiváñez are heard about his knowledge of disciplinary law and his willingness to take on anyone who challenges him.
However, the most worrying thing is the alleged Orders received from President Dina Boluarte to deactivate the Division for the Investigation of Highly Complex Crimes (DIVIAC)a key unit in sensitive investigations, including the case of Nicanor Boluarte, his brother.
In one of the conversations between the minister and his friend Junior Izquierdo, held five days after Santiváñez was sworn in as head of the Mininter, the former is heard saying: “Dina asked me to close Diviac twice. She told me that until yesterday. I told her: I can’t, I can’t.” However, at another point she says: “You know that anything goes when it comes to getting on. She asked me: can you deactivate Diviac? I said: yes.”
Captain Izquierdo’s lawyer, José Carlos Mejía, has pointed out that This situation must be thoroughly investigated.since the audios show a possible political manipulation of the functions of the Ministry of the Interior.
Santiváñez, for his part, has categorically denied the authenticity of the audiosalthough he has admitted having met with Izquierdo in a chifa in San Borja shortly after taking office.
