Santo Domingo.- A light rainy environment is forecast for much of the country on Monday, but an increase in cloudiness is expected on Tuesday due to the arrival of a trough and a tropical wave.
The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) predicted this Sunday that in the next 24 hours a hot environment with little rainfall will prevail, and that only in the provinces of the southeast and the Central Cibao will moderate showers be recorded.
Meanwhile, the U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami has forecast that no tropical cyclone formation is expected in the Caribbean region over the next five days.

August, one of the warmest months, is now in its final stages, and only two named storms have been recorded in the Atlantic basin.
Last hurricane season also saw two named storms in August, and September was the most active month, with nine such events.
Between 17 and 25 named storms are expected to form this season, of which 13 are expected to be hurricanes, according to meteorological experts.
Five named storms have formed this year, three of which have achieved hurricane status.
The hurricane season in the Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico begins on June 1 and ends on November 30.
