The Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) thwarted the shipment of three tons of cocaine packaged with the logos of El Faraón CA coffee, domiciled in the El Helechal sector, Junín municipality (Rubí) Táchira state, and which were to be sent to Afghanistan. The information was disseminated by crime journalist Eligio Rojas, through his social media account, where he reported that the seizure was made at the Air Customs of the Simón Bolívar International Airport, Maiquetía, La Guaira state.
In this procedure, 11 people were arrested, including the lieutenant colonel of the Bolivarian Military Aviation, César José Pérez Salas, who is president of the Transport Company Aereocargo del Sur, SA, an entity attached to the Ministry of Transport.
The following individuals were arrested: Charlie Jose Colon Santoyo, Carlos Jesus Colon Santoyo, Jesus Eduardo Salcedo Ruiz, Joangel Enrique Anton Sepulveda, Alexis Alexander Sepulveda Cobaria, Conception Niño Torres, Roger Alfredo Vergara Perez, Eliaxis Joshua Nava Rodriguez, Alexander Nehomar Santalis and Yuisay Yaneiza Ramirez Pinto.
These people were handed over to the Public Prosecutor’s Office where a case was opened against them for illicit drug trafficking.
