Jochy Gómez is not the one appointed as consul in Panama

Presidency clarifies that the designated consul in Panama is not Jochy Gómez

Santo Domingo.- The Presidency of the Republic clarified that the person appointed by the Executive Branch as consul in Panama is not Jochy Gómez, but rather his brother who responds to the name of Guillermo Jose Angel Gomez Canaan.

The clarification is made because some media have published a photo of Jochy Gómez instead of Guillermo José.

The appointment of Gómez Canaán, who holds a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), is contained in decree 471-24.

In his professional career he worked, among others, as an associate lawyer at the Pereyra & Asociados Firm.
