Venezuela rejects Josep Borrell's interventionist statements

Venezuela rejected the recent statements by the High Representative of the European Union, Josep Borrell, in which, following instructions from the United States, he supports a fascist coup d’état in Venezuela, displaying an interventionist and neocolonial attitude.

Through a statement released this Saturday by the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, Venezuela warned that this disrespect of the European Union towards the sovereignty and independence of our country could become “a new leap into the void” that will considerably affect the diplomatic, political and economic relations that have been developing until now.

“The Bolivarian Government will not tolerate any senseless act that violates the principles enshrined in the Constitution and international law, and will appeal to the Bolivarian, anti-colonial and anti-imperialist doctrine that inspired the struggles that expelled the European empires from the sacred soil of the Homeland more than 200 years ago,” the statement said.

The full statement is below:

VENEZUELA REJECTS JOSEP BORRELL’S VULGAR BOTCH AGAINST NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY AND INDEPENDENCE

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela repudiates the statement by the High Representative of the European Union, Josep Borrell, which once again sinks that bloc into the putrid mud, where they were for a long time when they followed the bizarre failed experiment of Juan Guaidó, and are a sign of the hatred and complex of this official, who at the end of his mandate and under instructions from the United States of America, intends to show his interventionist and neocolonial conduct, supporting a fascist coup d’état in Venezuela.

The continued disrespect of the sovereignty and independence of Venezuela and its public powers by the European Union could become a new leap into the void that will significantly affect the diplomatic, political and economic relations that have been developing until now. The Bolivarian Government will not tolerate any senseless act that violates the principles enshrined in the Constitution and international law, and will appeal to the Bolivarian, anti-colonial and anti-imperialist doctrine that inspired the struggles that expelled the European empires from the sacred soil of the Homeland more than 200 years ago.

The dirty statement drafted by Mr. Borrell is not only an affront to national dignity, but is a crude pamphlet that dares to claim as valid the fascist scam that spread forged and spurious documents, which have already been exposed to public opinion. 83% of the documents to which they refer are false and are simply the product of a criminal plan against the popular vote. The statement from the European Union becomes a vulgar botch job that will go down in the annals of world diplomatic shame.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela demands, once again, respect for its integrity and urges the European Union to refrain from issuing any opinion on matters that are of exclusive concern to Venezuelans.
