The president of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (INAMEH), Reidy Zambranoreported that the decrease in rainfall during the rainy season that Venezuela is going through is due to the dust that is currently perceived in the atmosphere of our nation, coming from the Sahara Desert of Africa through the wind.
However, Zambrano said that this weekend these dust particles will decrease, so it is expected that rain will start again on Monday, August 26.
The highest authority of Inameh recalled that currently there are between 58 and 65 tropical waves that cross the Venezuelan geography, of which 32 have already passed through the country, so it is estimated that on Wednesday the 28th of this month the 33rd will arrive in Venezuelan territory, which will enter through our Essequibo Guyana.
He highlighted that five of the 17 to 25 storms from the cyclonic activity that began in June over the national territory have been identified, which causes rain in areas near the coastal mountain range in the north of the country, specifically in the states Aragua, Carabobo, La Guaira, Sucre and the Capital District.
He added that this cyclonic activity will also cause rainfall in the Venezuelan Andean region. He added that on the instructions of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro MorosThe Rain Plan is fully complied with to prevent any eventuality generated by rainfall.
“We fulfill this Rain Plan under the perfect Civic Military Police Union (…) it is important to highlight that there is a National Risk Management System, As stated by the Vice Minister of Risk Management, Admiral Juan Carlos Oti Paituvi, who maintains 24-hour monitoring, the population is therefore called upon to trust the State and the support of all the organs of the Bolivarian Government,” concluded Zambrano.
