The TSE refuses to supervise the MAS-IPSP congress of the 'evista' wing

The Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) responded to the request of the ‘evista’ wing of the MAS – IPSP, this Friday. The decision was to reject the request to supervise the congress scheduled for this September 3.

“The full court of the TSE, in exercise of its powers resolves: first – reject the request for supervision of the X Ordinary National Congress of the political party Movement Towards Socialism-Political Instrument for the Sovereignty of the Peoples (MAS-IPSP) for failure to comply with the provisions,” reads the first point.

In the second point, “urges the political party MAS-IPSP to make every effort to achieve the required consensus by the second part of article 13 of its Organic Statute, and the provisions of Constitutional Resolution No. 273/2023 of December 11, 2023 and the Order of March 20, 2024.”

The third points out “to demand that the Plurinational Constitutional Court make a statement, as soon as possible, on the Constitutional Actions pending resolution in relation to the issue of the MAS-IPSP political party.”

And the fourth, “instruct the Secretary of the Chamber of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal to notify the requesting Political Organization with this Resolution; for this purpose, electronic means such as WhatsApp, email and others are enabled.”

The event is scheduled for September 3rd.

The TSE itself extended the deadline for political parties to renew their leadership, which is why the ‘evista’ wing of the MAS announced its national congress for September 3. The venue for this meeting is planned to be the coliseum of the High Performance Center of the municipality. from Villa Tunari, in Cochabamba.

Furthermore, former President Evo Morales explained that the leaders of the social organizations of the ‘arcist’ wing were invited to the meeting.
