The head of the regional office of OSIPTEL in Junín, Rocío Vásquez Caicedo Arias, explained that the sale of chips in public places facilitates the commission of serious crimes such as identity theft and bank fraud. For this reason, Osiptel staff made the population aware of the risks of buying mobile chips in public places and recommended contracting mobile services exclusively at points of sale with a specific address.
