They are the non-commissioned officers Gabriel Neyra Zapata and Rolando Castillo Pino, who belong to the Lince Police Station. Another five civilians were also captured. They are all in the Monterrico Police Station, where Siucho Neira was taken to collect his testimony.

Prosecutor Marita Barreto, coordinator of the Special Team against Corruption of Power (Eficcop), confirmed what was advanced by Peru21.

“It was a kidnapping (…) This situation has brought an imminent risk to a protected witness of Eficcop and apparently what they were looking for were the cell phones, they took the witness, then they threw him in a street (…) after everything was public knowledge, they came to throw the cell phones here (near the house),” he told the press from Surco, after leaving the condominium where Siucho lives.

Iván Siucho told prosecutor Marita Barreto how he was kidnapped this afternoon when he left his home in Surco.

“They managed to trick their way into the witness’s house, then they took him away in a hijacked car, threatened him and dumped him in the street,” he added.

Barreto made it clear that this episode is related to the case of Los Waykis en la Sombra and not to the money laundering process that the collaborator also faces.

Both Iván and his brother Martín Siucho reported having received threats in recent days, while the Prosecutor’s Office supports its request for preventive detention against Nicanor Boluarte, the president’s brother, and Mateo Castañeda.

Iván Siucho has declared to Eficcop that Castañeda, who was his legal defender in another case for money laundering, pressured him to sign a receipt proving that he gave him S/15 thousand that were found in his office the day it was raided by the Prosecutor’s Office, on May 11.
