Organic product labels inspected in Chiriquí

Technicians from the Competent Authority for Organic Agriculture of the National Directorate of Plant Health of the Ministry of Agricultural Development (MIDA) supervised and inspected commercial premises that sell organic products in the province of Chiriquí.

The investigation seeks compliance with Law 8 of January 24, 2002 and Executive Decree 121 of September 8, 2015, which establish the provisions governing the storage, marketing and labeling of these products.

The objective of the inspection operation is to protect consumers and at the same time guide the staff working in commercial establishments selling organic products.

The activity was developed in conjunction with the Regional Coordination of Plant Health of Chiriquí.
