The United States Department of State issued a statement on Friday, August 23, regarding the ruling by the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), which ratified the victory of President Nicolás Maduro in the July 28 elections, saying that the ruling has no credibility, “given the overwhelming evidence” that supports the idea that opposition presidential candidate Edmundo González Urrutia was the “most voted.”
