The journey, which is divided into 7 stages with a day of rest, seeks to raise 10 million pesos to remodel the shelter’s facilities and provide a decent home for more than 140 rescued animals. “They have been through so much and, thanks to their fighting spirit, they continue forward. But they need our help to have an adequate space where they can live with dignity and love,” they said.
The tour will begin on Friday, August 23 in Bogotá and will end on Friday, August 30 in Medellín. “Jhon Caro, an athlete with a caring soul, has an incredible challenge to help us remodel the facilities for our champions of life, little huelleritos who for some reason lost mobility in their little paws, but did not lose the will to live,” said Huellas de Amor.
The donations also seek to cover medical expenses, purchase essential supplies and guarantee the well-being of the animals in the shelter. Jhon Caro’s initiative is a call for solidarity and action to make a difference in the lives of these loved ones.
