On the eve of the National Electoral Institute’s advisors deciding on the allocation of plurinominal legislators, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador urged them not to give in to pressure from business organizations or international rating agencies. It would be outrageous if they were to submit and commit an atrocity by violating the constitutional provisions that govern this distribution, just so that “the money barons” would not get angry.
