Sao Paulo qualified for the quarter-finals of the Copa Libertadores on Thursday by beating Uruguayan side Nacional 2-0 at home in the second leg of the round of 16, after having drawn 0-0 in the first leg in Montevideo.
A goal from the Paraguayan Damián Bobadilla in the 31st minute, and another from the Argentine Jonathan Calleri In the 48th minute they gave victory and qualification to a far superior Sao Paulo, against a timid Nacional that only woke up in the second half, when they were already losing 2-0.
In the quarterfinals, Sao Paulo will face Botafogo, with the home field advantage in their favour as they play the return leg at home.
