AREQUIPA, Peru – After three weeks in prison, Cuban reggaeton singer known as Taiger was released on Tuesday after his ex-partner Suilen Díaz withdrew the complaint filed against him.
José Manuel Carvajal Zaldívar, his full name, had already given some clues that he would be released from prison. Last week, several influencers shared the video of a phone call between El Taiger and a friend identified as Oscar, in which he told him that he would be free on Monday, August 19.
“What happened to me is that when you are in a position, you cannot fall into another charge because you are violating bail. I do not have any felonies yet or that type of thing. The one who embarrassed me is the guard, because the girl (Diaz) took the charges off me. Taiger was arrested in the state of Florida on alleged charges of armed robbery and physical assault.
A report from the newspaper The New Herald The report said the artist was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center (TGKCC) following his arrest in the early hours of July 28.
For his part, the influencer identified as un_martitodurako8_live_oficial stated on Instagram that Taiger was arrested following a complaint from his ex-partner.
To date, Díaz has not made any statements to the press or on social media regarding the case.
After his release, the urban interpreter He has posted photos at gas stations and avenues in La Florida, even with followers.
For his part, Roberto Hidalgo, better known on stage as Yomil, was enthusiastic about the news and made a post advising Taiger.

Taiger’s arrest follows that of other urban music exponents residing in the US, such as Yosvanis Arismin Sierra Hernandez (Chocolate MC), and Abel Diaz Rodriguez (El Chulo).
