The future of the works that were started in the Reconstruction with Changes program and that were abandoned, as well as the recent reduction of the budget ceiling for the execution of works for taxes, are analyzed and debated at the V Regional State Council that is taking place in the city of Arequipa.

On the first day, technical meetings were held with the participation of the ministers and vice-ministers of State.in addition to the technical teams of the regional governments, in which various issues of concern to the regions were discussed and for which the closing of gaps is pending.
The President of Peru, Dina Boluarte Zegarra, will be there tomorrow to participate in working meetings alongside ministers and members of the National Assembly of Regional Governments (ANGR).
The regional governor, Rohel Sánchez Sánchez, reported that at this meeting the progress of the agreements made in the previous councils will be analyzed.in addition to generating other commitments. He indicated that a solution must be found to the issue of the works that were started through the Reconstruction with Changes program and that were abandoned at its closure. These works were executed by local and regional governments and suddenly, they were left without a budget.
The regional authority noted that There is concern about the cuts made by the Executive through the Ministry of Economy and Finance, for the Certificate of Regional and Local Public Investment (CIPRL), a mechanism that allowed them to carry out works with private companies. in charge of paying their taxes, which had been well received in Arequipa and there are still many pending projects.
Governor Sánchez indicated that for now, in Arequipa the work continues in alliance with the three levels of governmentresponsible private companies and academia; to carry out projects such as green hydrogen and the use of renewable energies to change the energy matrix; food security through the Majes Siguas comprehensive project or to make Peru the port reference in South America with the Megaport of the Americas, among others.
