Deputy Julio Chávez: NGOs operating in the country must respect the Constitution

The deputy to the National Assembly (AN), Julio Chavezstated that Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) operating in Venezuela must respect the Constitution, therefore, they should not be afraid to present their records to possible comptrollers through the Law of Supervision, Regularization, Action and Financing of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), recently approved by the National Assembly (AN).

During an interview on the program “Al Aire,” broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the parliamentarian revealed that “We presented a report by means of a special report from the Special Commission to Investigate Crimes against Venezuelan Migrants, where some 49 NGOs were registered, supposedly created to raise funds and assist the emigrant population; that never happened, they became a façade to raise a lot of money.”

In this regard, he recalled the disastrous experiences of the NGO called “New Tribes”, financed directly by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), linked by members of this global plutocracy supposedly for the defense of human rights.

In response to this, Congressman Chavez said that these violent groups, which were planning an insurrection, were recruited by these NGOs. “Many of them did not vote in the presidential election on July 28, but rather their objective was to cause terrorist acts.”

Finally, he pointed out that on June 28, the Venezuelan people not only defeated an extremist opposition, decadent in projects, but also defeated the world plutocracy.
