Puno: Four people survive after a vehicle crashes

Tragic accident. A vehicle went off track and fell about 50 meters from Jirón Coricorini (hill in the Chejoña neighborhood) ending up inside the mechanic’s workshop of the Regional Government of Puno.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Four occupants of the vehicle survived, including Frank Quispe Mamani and Luz Mery Ancco, who suffered serious injuries.

SAMU staff from the Regional Health Directorate, firefighters and night watch officers arrived at the scene to provide first aid to the injured.

The injured were taken to the emergency room of the Manuel Núñez Butrón Hospital in Puno, where they were diagnosed with multiple trauma and traumatic brain injury (TBI).

The National Police and Public Prosecutor’s Office have launched an investigation to clarify the causes of the traffic accident.
