The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro Morosthrough the social network threads, thanked his Gambian counterpart, Adama Barrow and to its people, for their displays of solidarity and recognition of the popular victory of July 28.
The head of state published the letter sent by the African leader, where he expresses their desire to work together not only in the development of close relations between both nations, but also in the concert of joining efforts for the cause of peace and good neighborliness of all peoples.
In this regard, President Maduro stated that Venezuela and Gambia will continue the path of working together, with brotherhood and united for the development of the peoples. “The Venezuelan people decided for Peace and for the right to be free and independent,” he said.

For your brilliant re-election to the Presidency of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, I am pleased to convey, on behalf of the People of Gambia and on my own behalf, the warmest congratulations and best wishes to Your Excellency and through you to the People of Venezuela.
This re-election is a testament to the confidence in your leadership and vision to continue the course along the path you set for your country and achieve further social progress and economic prosperity.
I wish to assure you and the people of Venezuela of the continued friendship of the Government and people of Gambia and look forward to working together not only in developing close relations between our countries but also in concerting our efforts for the cause of peace and good neighborliness of all peoples.
