The work histories of workers from the interior of the country prior to 1996 will be digitized by the BPS
The Ministry of Labor and Social Security (MTSS) and the Social Security Bank (BPS) signed an agreement for the digitalization and reconstruction of work histories of workers in the interior, corresponding to periods prior to 1996. “This will mean greater transparency, greater efficiency, greater productivity and a benefit for users,” said the head of the portfolio, Mario Arizti.
“It is an agreement that allows us to improve the quality of care by digitizing paper, avoiding the manual search for form after form throughout the country,” explained the president of BPS, Alfredo Cabrera, at the signing ceremony of the agreement.
He explained that this change will optimize the pension benefits and the process for granting them, and will improve the processes that were previously carried out separately between the MTSS and the bank.
The Minister of Labor and Social Security (MTSS) Arizti described that labor information is currently in paper format in the more than 40 offices of the portfolio in different departments of the country. With this agreement, DINACOIN will transfer to the BPS the labor forms prior to April 1, 1996 to digitize them, and once entered into thewebwill be destroyed in paper format. Virtual files will maintain the same validity as the original documents.
