Members of the National Police, belonging to the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM), have identified and are searching for two antisocial individuals linked to a robbery that occurred on Espaillat Street, corner of Eugenio A. Miranda, near Plaza Victoria, in the province of La Romana, an event that occurred on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
The incident, captured on video and shared on social media and digital media, shows a woman who, while traveling on a scooter with two children on board, was the victim of an assault in broad daylight.
In the video, you can see a man Dark-skinned and dressed in black, he approached the victim and snatched a chain he was wearing, then fled with another young man who was waiting for him a short distance away on a black motorcycle.
Through multiple investigative procedures, DICRIM agents managed to identify the man dressed in black only as “Eddy”, resident in the Preconca sector, in La Romana. Also, during the course of the investigations, another individual nicknamed “Morenay” was identified, who would have been the driver of the motorcycle used in robbery.
The National Police, in coordination with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, has requested arrest and search warrants for both suspects, with the aim of arresting them and bringing them to justice.
