River Plate advanced to the quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores after beating Talleres (2-1)

River Plate qualified for the quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores 2024 by defeating Talleres de Córdoba 2-1 (partial 1-0) in an all-Argentine duel, in the second leg of the round of 16 played this Wednesday at the Monumental stadium in Buenos Aires.

Miguel Borja (33) and Santiago Simon (49) scored the goals from Marcelo Gallardo’s team, and Federico Girotti (69) discounted for Talleres, and thus the Millionaire celebrated with a global of 3-1, after winning 1-0 the first match in Córdoba.

In the round of the eight best, River will face the Chilean Colo Colo, who comes from eliminating the Colombian Junior.
