Wednesday, August 21, 2024, p. 12

For the fourth time, a control judge based in the Reclusorio Norte postponed the hearing of former Attorney General of the Republic (PGR) Jesús Murillo Karam, where he would be charged with the crimes of forced disappearance, torture and against the administration of justice, related to the Ayotzinapa case. If found guilty, he could face a sentence of up to 82 years in prison.

Sources close to the case reported that the hearing was scheduled for yesterday, but due to the work stoppage by employees of the Judiciary, which was joined by judges and magistrates, it was rescheduled until further notice.
