After the matches of the 15th round of Series A1 of the Brazilian Women’s Football Championship, this Wednesday (15), the eight teams that qualified for the quarterfinals of the competition were defined: Corinthians, Bragantino, Ferroviária, Internacional, São Paulo, Grêmio, Palmeiras and Cruzeiro.
Already qualified in advance as the first-place team in the first phase, Corinthians beat Avaí/Kindermann 3-1 at Parque São Jorge, in São Paulo. Second place in the classification went to Ferroviária, who were beaten 1-0 this Wednesday by Flamengo, who were left out of the next stage of the competition.

São Paulo beat Grêmio 4-0 in Cotia and advanced to the quarterfinals with the third best performance in the first phase. The Gurias Gremistas, on the other hand, continue through, but in sixth place. Palmeiras also won 4-0 to stay alive in the Brazilian Women’s Championship, beating Atlético-MG in Gregorão, in Contagem, and finished fourth. The Vingadoras were relegated, as they finished last.
Cruzeiro is in fifth place, having lost 2-1 to a surprising Bragantino at Nabi Abi Chedid. The team from Bragança Paulista moved on to eighth place. The last team to qualify is Internacional, who beat the relegated Santos 6-2 at SESC Protásio Alves in Porto Alegre.
With the definition of the qualifiers, the quarter-final matches were also confirmed: Corinthians against Red Bull Bragantino, Ferroviária and Internacional, São Paulo against Grêmio and Palmeiras versus Cruzeiro.
