The session of the Congress of Mayors will be held this Thursday 22nd in Montevideo with a broad agenda on the case of driving licenses based on points, irregular settlements and debt relief. The mayor for Colonia, Carlos Moreira, will attend.
Program
The Municipality of Colonia announces the program that will be developed:
From 10:15 the Plenary will receive the President of Ute Silvia Emaldi. The participation of the head of the electric power company will allow common issues to be addressed.
Continuing with the hearings from 11:00 a.m., the Executive Director of the Association of Private Banks, Barbara Mainzer, will present to the mayors a program of debt relief for delinquent debtors.
Reports from the Board and Committees
Starting at 11:30 a.m., the mayors will be provided with the Mesa report, which has two points to be evaluated.
Runaev: A report is expected on the progress of the National Single Register of Food, Companies and Vehicles, a fundamental tool for the unification of the bromatological register at a national level.
Avanzar Plan: Executive plan of the settlement program whose purpose is the eradication of irregular settlements.
At 12:00, the Traffic Advisory Commission will present its report on the work being carried out together with the National Road Safety Unit (Unasev) regarding the implementation of the points-based driving license.
At the end of the session, the Miscellaneous Matters will be addressed. This point on the agenda allows for addressing a wide range of issues that have not been included in the previous points, giving mayors the opportunity to raise concerns, request information or propose initiatives.
This plenary session is of great importance for the departmental governments, as it will allow them to stay informed about the progress of projects and programs of national relevance.

The 274th Session of the Sectoral Commission for Decentralization will take place in the Session Room of the Congress of Mayors from 2:00 p.m.
