With this result, Onça took 9th place in the standings with 30 points. Macaca remains with 28 points after the defeat, in 12th place.
Playing at home, Amazonas needed just 7 minutes to open the scoring. Midfielder Erick Varão made a good play on the right wing and crossed perfectly for striker Luan Silva, who only had to tap the ball into the back of the net.
At a disadvantage on the scoreboard, Ponte Preta began to offer space for the home team to counterattack with more freedom. And that was how Onça scored for the second time in the match, 2 minutes into the second half, when Diego Torres hit a three-finger pass to Matheus Serafim, who only had to beat goalkeeper Pedro Rocha.
At 10 minutes into the second half, Macaca managed to pull one back with a shot from the edge of the box by full-back Igor Inocêncio, but the final victory went to Amazonas.
