The pilot Lucas Careaga left for Brazil this Tuesday at noon to take part in the Junior category of the South American Karting Championship, which will take place from August 22 to 24, in the city of Nova Santa Rita, in Rio Grande do Sul. The competition is part of the Codasur calendar.

“We have been preparing very welltraining four hours a day. We are going to get to know the track and fine-tune some details with our team,” said the 12-year-old pilot.

Lucas will be the only Bolivian representative in this race. To reach his destination, he left Santa Cruz for São Paulo, where he stopped and then boarded the ship that took him to Nova Santa Rita.

This competition has the endorsement of the FIA, which will reward the champions of all categories by taking them, all expenses paid, to the World Cup in England, which will take place next month.

“We will seek to compete on equal terms, There are well-known drivers who are fully dedicated to karting, but that will not be an impediment to showing that there are good athletes in Bolivia,” concluded Lucas Careaga.
