The Housing and Habitat Subcommittee of the National Assembly will be deployed next week in the urban developments of the Great Venezuela Housing Mission (GMVV), with the objective of disseminating the legal framework of the housing sector and strengthening the foundations of the social program that has delivered more than five million 100 thousand homes throughout the country.
The chairman of the subcommittee, Deputy Rigel Sergent, reported that the rules to be discussed include the beneficiaries of the GMVV and the Housing and Habitat Benefits Regime Law.
He indicated that these sessions also seek to promote public debate on the Bill on Social Production for Housing and Habitat, “regulations that will guarantee the resources and means for self-managed production of habitat, proposed by the Movement of Settlers to the National Executive.”
It is worth noting that, following the pronouncement of several deputies of the subcommittee, it was agreed to submit to the Ministry of People’s Power for Housing and Habitat a balance of the cases attended to by the Permanent Commission of Administration and Public Services, based on the awards, arbitrary evictions and housing projects.
