The federal government has excluded the São Paulo General Warehouse and Warehouse Company (Ceagesp), the largest food warehouse in South America, from the National Privatization Program (PND). The company was also removed from the Investment Partnership Program (PPI) of the Presidency of the Republic. The federal government’s decision was published this Tuesday (20) in the Official Gazette of the Union.
Ceagesp was included in the PND and qualified for the PPI by the federal government in 2019, under the government of Jair Bolsonaro.
CeasaMinas
This Tuesday, the federal government also published a decree removing the Minas Gerais Supply Centers SA (CeasaMinas) from the PND and PPI. The company was included in the PND in 2000, during the government of Fernando Henrique Cardoso (FHC).
In 2023, the Lula government had already removed the Brazilian Post and Telegraph Company (ECT) from the PND; Brazilian Communications Company (EBC); the Social Security Technology and Information Company (Dataprev); Nuclebrás Heavy Equipment SA (Nuclep); the Federal Data Processing Service (Serpro); the Brazilian Agency for the Management of Guarantee Funds and Guarantees SA (ABGF); and the National Center for Advanced Electronic Technology SA (Ceitec).
Also in 2023, the warehouses and properties owned by the National Supply Company (Conab); the Brazilian Oil and Natural Gas Administration Company SA – Pré-Sal Petróleo SA (PPSA); and Brazilian Telecommunications SA (Telebras) were removed from the PPI.
