Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces detected and destroyed, in the Carida sector of Amazonas State, logistical materials used for illegal mining, reported the operational strategic commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez.
The high-ranking military officer explained that the uniformed officers found a total of nine 15 HP motor pumps; eight plastic drums with a capacity of 220 liters; eight Tames; 20 meters of hose; 40 meters of black plastic during patrol and search work.
In this regard, he recalled, in a message posted on Instagram, that mining and hydrocarbon exploitation is prohibited in Amazonas, in accordance with the provisions of our legal system.
“The land of the national territory is not negotiable, is not sold and cannot be alienated. National parks and forest areas must be protected by all citizens, since they are under a special conservation protection regime,” he stressed.
