The federal group
There are three officials who currently hold a position in the federal government and this Monday, they were presented as part of the capital team that will have new functions.
This is Alejandra Fraustowho served as Secretary of Culture for the federal government and was the official in charge of transforming the former official residence of Los Pinos into a museum and open spaces.
She was also in charge of making President López Obrador’s “Chapultepec, nature and culture” project a reality. She has been faithful to the president’s project.

Nadine Gasman She will maintain her position as director of the federal Women’s Institute and in Mexico City she will take over the position of Secretary of Health, an agency that has seen a significant reduction in its functions over the last three years, as the capital’s health system has gradually moved towards federalization through the IMSS-Bienestar system.

Juan Pablo De Bottoncurrent undersecretary of expenditures of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, will be the new secretary of Administration and Finance of Mexico City, a position that will have control of public resources, collection and budget projections to make social programs, scholarships and financially support infrastructure projects committed to in Clara Brugada’s campaign a reality, such as the creation of 100 Utopias, five new Cablebús lines, major surgery for the Metro, among other projects.

Close to Brugada and Sheinbaum
Brugada added three close profiles to his team within his cabinet.
The first one is Raul Basulto Luvianofuture Secretary of Works and Services of Mexico City and who served as Secretary of Works in Iztapalapa during the Morena party’s term as mayor and when she left office to compete for the position of Head of Government, she chose Basulto as her successor.
On several occasions, Brugada has referred to him as “the builder of Utopias.”
The second closest to Brugada is Ana Francis Lopez Bayghenthe next Secretary of Culture. López Bayghen is a local deputy for Morena and actively promoted Brgada during the internal contest to choose who would compete for the city for the cherry-colored party.
A third is Alejandro Encinasformer head of the Government of Mexico City and the person in charge of concluding Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s six-year term between 2005 and 2006. Encinas was Brugada’s right-hand man and main advisor on his candidacy.
At the same time, Brugada will have four members of the administration of Claudia Sheinabum, his predecessor, in his cabinet.

He also repeats the position Pablo Vazquez Camacho as Secretary of Citizen Security, appointed in September 2023 and close to the former head of the SSC, Omar García Harfuch, who will be the next Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection of the Sheinbaum presidential cabinet.
Another profile that goes from Sheinbaum to Brugada is Inti Muñoz Santini, next Secretary of Housing who previously served as executive coordinator of the Ministry of Culture and then general director of Urban Planning; with Martí Batres at the head of the capital government, he was appointed in July 2023 as Undersecretary of GovernmentToday, in February 2024, he will be appointed head of the Secretariat of Urban Development and Housing.
The fourth profile is Araceli Damian Gonzalezwho in the administration that is about to conclude was president of the Evaluation Council of Mexico City (Evalúa CDMX) and will become the next Secretary of Inclusion and Social Welfare.
