A police officer, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, was involved in a double vehicle accident in the Ruitoque Bajo sector, in Floridablanca.
The first crash occurred when the vehicle in which the officer was traveling hit a motorcycle, resulting in injuries to an adult and a child who were traveling on the two-wheeled vehicle.
Witnesses at the scene reported that after the first accident, the police officer tried to flee the scene, but a few meters away he collided with a truck, causing even more chaos at the scene.
The identity of the officer has not yet been revealed, but a video circulating on social media shows the wounded policeman wearing a shirt that appears to belong to the institution.
In the video, one of the witnesses describes the police officer as “drunk” and confirms that he was wearing his uniform at the time of the incident. The recording has caused shock and concern among residents, who are calling for justice for the victims of the first accident.

Local authorities, through the Metropolitan Police of Bucaramanga, have announced that in the next few hours they will issue an official statement with additional details about the incident and the actions that will be taken to address this case.
