Junín: Higher institute administrators comply with 48-hour strike

Administrative workers at higher education institutes are on a 48-hour regional strike today, Monday 19th, they gathered outside the Junín Regional Office demanding that the director comply with their list of demands.

There are around 660 workers at a regional level who are affected, among their demands is the fulfillment of the delivery of uniforms, payment of vacations and hiring of personnel. According to the workers, they have made this request since last year, but have not received any response. “They have been giving us a runaround since last year with the previous director,” said one of the workers.

The Junín regional director of Education, Dr. Omar Luis Tovalino Cordova, requested that a round table discussion be held, and for this purpose he requested that the workers from the headquarters and the representatives of the different institutes be included.
