The Colombian U-20 Women’s National Team received an important reinforcement this Monday with the arrival of Linda Caicedo, a Real Madrid player and the only one called up who plays international football.

With the arrival of Colombian soccer player Linda Caicedo, the group of 23 players selected by coach Carlos Paniagua for the World Cup in this category, which will begin on August 31 in our country, has been completed.

The Valle del Cauca native, just 19 years old, landed in Bogotá to join the team that is preparing for the World Cup in this category, where she will compete in her second U-20 tournament.

The Spanish club agreed to loan Caicedo out, recognising his value and experience, so that he can join the squad that hopes to make its mark on the competition and advance to the final stages.

In his first participation in a U-20 World Cup, Caicedo played four matches and scored two goals, demonstrating his potential on the international scene.

Colombia’s last appearance at this level was at the U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica, where the team, coached by Carlos Paniagua, reached the quarter-finals before being eliminated by Brazil in a narrow 1-0 draw.

Now, with Linda in their ranks, expectations are set on surpassing that result.

The U-20 Women’s World Cup will begin on August 31, and Colombia will debut against New Zealand at 6:00 pm at the El Campín stadium in Bogotá.
