Botafogo clings to leadership in Brazil

They beat Flamengo 4-1 and remain firmly in the lead, although Fortaleza is keeping track of them after beating Bragantino (1-2)

Botafogo consolidated its leadership in the Brazilian Championship after beating 4-1 on Sunday Flamengo in the match of the twenty-third day, although Strength does not lose the pace. Botafogo has 46 points and Fortaleza 45 with its victory over Bragantino.

The team led by Portuguese Artur Jorge took the lead after two minutes with a goal from Mateo Ponte, but Flamengo equalised twenty minutes later through Bruno Henrique.
