Pakistan recognizes Maduro as President re-elected on June 28

Through his account on the social network threads, President Nicolás Maduro thanked his counterpart from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, for his congratulations for having emerged victorious in the last electoral elections.

“I send my fraternal greetings and the gratitude of the Venezuelan people to you, Asif Ali Zardari, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, for your sincere congratulations on the beautiful day of elections and popular expression of last #28Jul in our country. I am sure that Pakistan and Venezuela will continue on the path of cooperation and strategic alliance, for the advancement and development of our peoples,” wrote the first national leader.

On behalf of my party, the Pakistan People’s Party, and on my own behalf, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on your re-election as President of Venezuela. Your third consecutive electoral victory reflects the respect and trust that the people of Venezuela have in your leadership and the confidence in your ability to lead the country towards peace and prosperity. I have no doubt that under your able leadership, Venezuela will continue on its path towards greater progress and development.

I will strive to work closely with you to further strengthen the ties of partnership between Pakistan and Venezuela for the mutual benefit of our two peoples.

I take this opportunity to express my best wishes for good health and happiness for Your Excellency and for progress and well-being for the Venezuelan people.
